PAUL SOMMERSGUTER - "Half Time – Astonishment for Advanced Learners"
Premiere: Magic & Comedy
Paul takes stock: white chest hair, midlife belly, diminishing stamina and wonders if he’s already landing on a cruise ship showing old tricks for the hundredth time. But instead of a crisis, there’s a fresh start: Paul reinvents himself – in the truest sense of the word. He makes the old disappear, the new appear, suddenly loses what was important – and finds exactly what has a future.
In doing so, he mixes cabaret, theater, and masterful illusions into a magical narrative about change and joy in life. Paul realizes: Those who let go can find themselves again. And those who can marvel have found the best anti-aging remedy.
"Half Time – Astonishment for Advanced Learners" is thus much more than a magic show. It is an entertaining invitation to view one's own life with a wink and to reclaim a piece of magic in the process. Humorous, pointed, moving, and elaborately staged.
"Half Time – Astonishment for Advanced Learners" is the most magical invitation to laugh at oneself and to discover that life can still perform magic.
